Overview

artadata software provides arts organisations with enterprise information systems and services to assist staff to manage and leverage core business information.

When you work with artadata software you get both knowledge and experience. Knowledge and experience within the arts industry, and knowledge and experience in developing software.

artadata software only works on developing information systems for the arts - this enables us to specialise and concentrate on deeply understanding your business domain - the arts.
artadata's principal, Haydn Smith, has worked in both the arts; as an arts worker, and IT; as a programmer and analyst, for the past 20 years.

Community and Environmental Responsibility

artadata software and its parent company Imuse Pty Ltd are constantly striving to improve its energy efficiency and reduce its environmental impact.

All electricity used in the business is wind generated and purchased from Origin Energy's 100% GreenPower Accredited Wind plan that is endorsed by Community Power.

All heating used in the business is provided by Origin Energy's GreenGas plan where the gas consumption is offset through emission reduction programs like energy efficiency and tree planting.

All plane travel is purchased with Carbon Offsets.

All reports that are produced by our software are in electronic formats suitable for emailing to recipients.

All driving to visit clients and the printing of hardcopy specifications required to build and contract the system are offset through the planting of trees in the local environment. Since 2004, the director and staff have now planted over 300 trees along the Darebin Creek in Melbourne.

artadata software sponsors cool earth defenders with web creation and hosting through imuse pty ltd.

Technologies

To develop the datafest, datamuse and datamerge systems Imuse Information Systems uses the standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) that is well proven and ensures the successful translation of business requirements into the resulting software: on time, on budget and to specification.   We don't use "bleeding edge" development methodologies that lead companies to overspend on systems that often end up costing too much, delivered too late and don't end up doing what the salesman said they would.

artadata software doesn't use obscure technologies, we use the latest stock standard Microsoft technologies to ensure that your system is compatible, scalable, robust and supportable in the future, long after the other technologies have become moribund and left at the wayside.   Our use of Microsoft technologies means your investment is built to last and grow.

All artadata's programmers are experienced with Microsoft technologies and have been developing software for at least 10 years. All our systems are built to standards and thoroughly tested before production roll-out.
