Our relationship with the festival began in 2002 and since that time we have gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges festivals face. We recognised the festival were striving to find better ways to mount festivals while maintaining the high artistic standards set since their inaugural festival of 1986.

The Auckland Arts Festival is a 3 week, high-energy celebration of our city, people and cultures with a programme that appealed to all ages and introduced Aucklanders and visitors to new, once-in-a-lifetime performances, mind-blowing art works and ideas.

The 2015 festival included more than 900 artists from 33 countries delivering 145 ticketed performances and 208 free exhibitions and events in 86 locations across the city. From Leigh to Papakura, Titirangi to Howick, the Festival offered unique experiences for audiences and artists, reaching 180,000 people.

Since that time datafest has managed the production scheduling for 6 WOMADelaide festivals, 3 Australian Performing Arts Markets, 5 Australian International Documentary Conferences, 6 years of Touring programs and the Earth Station festival of 2011.

  Melbourne Symphony Orchestra logo  

With our co-producers Melbourne Symphony Orchestra we developed the datamuse software program in 2001 to act as store of ticket purchasing activity and manage stakeholder relationships.This lead to one of the most comprehensive customer profiling systems in the Australian arts industry with detailed customer transactions dating back to 1991 being used to maintain and expand sales of subscriptions and single tickets.

The MSO also used the datamuse software as a store for concerts, works and artists played and performed since 1986 and for future concerts, works and artists which provided a data feed to supply the information in the What's On section of their customer facing web site.

Melbourne Symphony Orchestra migrated the data from the datamuse system to their new ticketing and CRM system at the end of 2012.
